From relieving stress to sealing your skin – this herb has such wonderful mind-body benefits. Known for its culinary uses, it is very popular in Mediterranean and Thai cooking. It not only helps to clam the stomach though it has anti-biotic properties which helps with any potential infections in the gut. There is even evidence that it helps with regulating blood sugar when consumed regularly as a juice or a tea.

    How to enjoy:

Combine fresh chopped basil with garlic and oil to make a dairy-free variety of pesto that can be added to a variety of dishes such as pasta, salmon and rye bruschetta.

Add basil to stir fries – add them right at the end so that they aren’t overcooked.

Enjoy a cup of invigorating Basil tea by chopping the basil leaves and leave them to infuse in your pot in boiling water for 5 minutes.

Add Basil slightly chopped to summer salads.

Layer Fresh Basil with tomato and olive pate for a colourful appetiser.

Add a bunch to your fresh morning juice.
